4C to create up to 20 new Salesforce jobs through its new Support Services Department
At 4C we are proud to have an incredible team of driven, fun and diverse people and as we continue to grow we are always looking for ways to hire and develop amazing new recruits. With this in mind we are delighted to announce the launch of the 4C Support Services Department (SSD).
Based in our London office, the Support Services Department is a training ground where recent graduates or those who are new to the world of Salesforce can gain extensive experience across the Salesforce board, develop their consultancy skills and gain the knowledge needed to acquire valuable Salesforce certifications.
With the creation of the SSD, came the new appointment of Head of Support Services, Joanna Clarke, previously a Team Leader in 4C’s Professional Service Team. We spoke to Joanna to find out a bit more about the SSD, what applicants can expect from it and that all important question of how to apply.
Hi Joanna, please can you tell us a bit more about the SSD?
The SSD is an environment where we can nurture, train and provide knowledge to those who have the enthusiasm and drive, but not necessary the expertise, to kick start a career in Salesforce consultancy. We will mentor them in all aspects of Salesforce from CPQ, to Service Cloud, to Marketing Cloud and Pardot, giving them the foundation they need to accelerate their career.
Why was the SSD created?
We noticed that there was a shortfall in experienced, technical staff in the the UK and Europe and we wanted to address that. Alongside developing a pool of talented Salesforce experts we are fueling our business growth by increasing our Salesforce knowledge and certifications and providing the perfect platform for applicants to join either our Managed or Professional Services teams.
What can applicants expect from from the SSD?
Candidates will take part in a comprehensive, hands on training programme, working on real life cases with support from the 4C Managed Service and Professional Service team. The programme will operate as a staged process; candidates will begin by working on test projects, this will then evolve into working on simple customer requirements and support cases. Once enough experience has been gained, candidates will move out of the SSD and into either the Professional Service or Managed Service team. Throughout their time at 4C, applicants will have the opportunity to get their Salesforce certifications, including ADM201, Sales Cloud, AppBuilder and Service Cloud.
What are the future plans for the SSD?
Our aim is to grow the SSD to over 20 people by the end of this year. As part of this expansion, we are overhauling our First Line support offer as the SSD candidates take over these customer requests. This will not only reduce the wait times on customer queries and streamline the service we offer but it will also ensure that the candidates receive as much exposure as possible. A win win for all involved!
What sort of traits do you feel candidates need to join the department?
We are looking for people with drive and enthusiasm. The Salesforce training is the easiest part, we need people with the get up and go to dive head first into projects. We also need people to have plenty of curiosity, ask questions and really get to understand the nuts and bolts of how Salesforce works, to be able to provide the best possible service to our customers and help them achieve their goals. But most importantly we need Salesforce consultants who are good with people and enjoy that one to one customer interaction and relationship building.
What is your day to day role as Head of Support Services?
Aside from mentoring the candidates and making sure they are happy and reaching their full potential, at the moment I am working on designing the new system and processes to enable the SSD team to do their role as efficiently as possible and to develop the department into an instrumental new business department at 4C.
