Most valuable player, or MVP for short, is a term often associated with the best NBA or NFL stars for the player with the most skill, who contributes the most to their team, but if you work in the Salesforce ecosystem, then you know it’s also a major deal in our industry.
In 2010 Salesforce began handing out its own MVP awards for the biggest superstars within the Salesforce world, and this year, 4C’s Jan Vandevelde has been recognised as an MVP. A remarkable achievement awarded to only the most exceptional individuals in the Salesforce community.
In total, Salesforce recognised 36 new MVPs in its class of 2018, the 20th year of Salesforce MVPs, and 4C’s Jan Vandevelde was one of that elite group. After finding out via Twitter (his phone was apparently buzzing all morning), Jan commented:
“I’m thrilled with the honor, in fact, I’m still not sure I fully understand how I deserve it, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be an MVP and hopefully this will continue for many years to come.”
You can read Jan’s reaction in full by heading over to his personal blog, where he has given an insight into his journey to achieving MVP status and provides a great insight into what the Salesforce MVP programme is all about.
We’ll be catching up with Jan next week in a short video interview, so keep an eye out for more content on Jan’s achievement soon.
