On 25 May 2018, the EU will enter a new era of data management called the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR. The EU legislation will transform how your personal data is collected, managed and stored by companies like 4C. With less than a month until the GDPR begins, 4C have started to receive questions on what we will be doing to ensure the data we collect and hold is fully compliant.
Will 4C be GDPR compliant?
In short, yes. 4C are committed to becoming a fully GDPR compliant organisation and we have started taking steps to help us stay on the right side of the new regulation.
What are 4C doing to become compliant?
4C are running a business-wide compliance program to ensure we meet all the requirements of the GDPR. If we’ve worked together before or had a past business relationship, it’s likely that you’ve received an email asking if you’d like to stay in contact with 4C on certain topics, events and/or business amends. We also updated our Privacy Policy in line with the new GDPR regulations.
What has 4C done so far and what’s next?
Detailed below you can see a graphic outlining what 4C has done to date and what further steps we are taking to ensure our data is compliant with the new GDPR.
