The Low Down

Introduction

With the backing of London’s mayor Boris Johnson, 10,000 homes are being built by the Hong Kong property developer Knight Dragon over a 25-year period in one of London’s largest regeneration schemes. Greenwich Peninsula will offer residential space alongside 150 new shops and restaurants, 48 acres of open space and 1.6 miles of river frontage. Knight Dragon quickly realised they needed a multi-dimensional CMS that would cater for this project.

The Challenge

4C were challenged to come up with a variety of Salesforce solutions that addressed the following:

  1. Customisation of their existing Salesforce to suit the needs of their customer services department.

  2. Automation of repetitive manual processes, as well as notifications at different stages of the unit sales & legal processes.

  3. A simple way of sending mass documents electronically.

  4. A simple yet effective way of logging unit defects, with the ability to show different SLA’s per defect.

  5. Visibility of which inspections were assigned to each inspector.

  6. Scalability to allow easy integration with their Purchaser Portal.

  7. The ability to track unit stage and be able to automatically change this stage when certain processes had been completed.

The Solutions

A richer, overall view of properties, residents and purchasers

An increased customer service level by being able to view information quickly and easily, establishing better relationships between purchasers, residents and contractors.

  • A simplified overview of unit using record types to change page layout whilst going through the different stages of legal process. Used workflow to change the Status according to different fields on Salesforce.

  • Customisation of cases with the ability to display assigned SLA and priority depending on defect using flows and process builder. A visual display of priority using flags.

  • The ability to reassign an apartment offer from one purchaser to another by using a cloning hack to save the Sales team duplication.

  • Creation of Inspection object, record types to align with the three inspections that Knight Dragon completes.

Installation and configuration of Conga Composer

This was built to suit Knight Dragon’s business needs with the creation of multiple templates per object in Salesforce, allowing senior management to re-deploy resources around a more efficient and more creative business model.
